An online publication created for Indigenous women, by Indigenous women in North America
Oki – Welcome to the January 2015 edition of www.IksokapiMagazine.com – this month marks our 1st Birthday and as we celebrate this amazing year we would like to wish everyone a very Happy and prosperous New Year! 2014 flew by and brought us many amazing profiles and interviews from around North America, thank you for sharing your stories with us. A new year means something different for everyone; for some its just another day, for others its all about creating resolutions to a newer, better you. I prefer to focus on the new year ahead and what it will bring because we are never really certain where our journey takes us. Good luck to those who do choose to make positive changes this year.
2015 no doubt brings many changes and I for one love change and I do promise a little bit of that in the magazine this year. I do not have resolutions but have set a few goals that will be accomplished this year like my Master of Education degree with the University of Saskatchewan. I am super excited about getting this done, its been a challenge to say the least. However you decide to come into the new year, I wish you and your family a very merry 2015.
As always we will strive to bring you more inspiring profiles and entertaining features from around North America. If you would like to publish your work in the magazine, drop us a line for more information. We are open to all news stories that can empower, entertain and educate Indigenous women in North America. For more information you can email us at Iksokapi@gmail.com or follow us on our social media sites; Facebook, Twitter and the soon to be added Instagram.
